A place to learn through doing

Play, art, stories and everyday activities give children chances to join in and communicate. During a tour, you can ask how the team would use your child's interests in therapy.

Learning through the things children do

During Lemonade Week, children read, made crafts, played pretend and made lemonade. Some used AAC to make choices and ask for items. Another activity week included story time, art and a cotton-candy activity. These are past examples; ask the team what's happening now.

Practicing for school, together

Our clinic focuses on school readiness. Children work on reading, tracing and cutting, and learn about the months and days of the week. They also practice joining group instruction and communicating with peers. Group games, circle time and recess make room for learning with other children.

Plan your child's week

The center is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and part-time hours are an option. If you'd like to increase from part-time to full-time attendance later, we can discuss it when space is available. Bring your child's other appointments into the conversation so we can talk through the schedule.

On-site speech therapy and OT with Sensory Solutions

You can ask about occupational therapy and speech therapy here through Sensory Solutions. These services go through your insurance; your plan determines coverage. Intake can help you find out what to check before appointments are arranged.

Questions about St. Peters?

There's no wrong question.
We're happy to talk it through.

More questions, answered
Does St. Peters have a waitlist?

St. Peters has no waitlist right now. Your child's start date still depends on the assessment and any required insurance authorization. Call intake at 314-410-9670 to find out what comes next.

What hours can my child attend?

We open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. You can ask for part-time hours; talk with intake about the schedule you're looking for.

Can we move from part time to full time?

Yes, if there's space. Let us know when you'd like to increase hours so we can check.

What is the staffing ratio?

Mostly 1:1. An RBT works with your child, with a BCBA overseeing care. Sometimes one staff member has two children, including as they learn and play with peers.

Are there chances to practice social skills?

Yes. Children join group games, circle time and recess, and learn together in groups. Those are chances to play with friends and practice communicating with peers.

Does the clinic work on school readiness?

Yes, school readiness is a focus. We practice reading, tracing, cutting and learning the days and months. Children also work on joining group instruction and communicating with peers.

Is speech therapy or OT available here?

Yes, through Sensory Solutions. They offer speech therapy and OT on site. Check with intake about appointments and your insurance benefits for each service.

Do you accept our insurance?

The insurance page lists the plans we work with. If you're unsure about yours, call intake. We'll check your benefits and discuss estimated costs before services start.

Can we meet with our child's analyst?

Yes. We encourage at least one meeting a month to review goals and explain what to work on at home. It's also time for your questions.
